Devicescape's Curator QoE Technology is used for qualification and preservation of available networks and the customizable Curated Virtual Network (CVN) itself. It is a real-time quality of experience (QoE) measurement technique that can be applied to Wi-Fi and mobile networks alike.

Leveraging capabilities built into the Curator Client software running on many mobile devices, the Curator QoE Technology constantly measures the quality, performance, and reliability of the networks with which these devices connect. Proprietary device-to-cloud, machine-learning algorithms do the actual heavy lifting, measuring a combination of signal strength, throughput, latency, reliability, and other network/device parameters.

The Most Accurate Technique

This QoE measurement technique is, quite simply, the most accurate one now available to mobile operators. In order to truly understand what the user is experiencing and to be able to perform accurate network selection, QoE must be measured at the device level. Most QoE techniques today produce only rough approximations of congestion, as they are done at the network level without any information from the device. Such device input is critical, however, not only to providing a real-time gauge but also to understanding historical trends.
