The Devicescape Agent Supplicant (DSA Supplicant)is a software development package for creating wireless LAN (WLAN) client devices. The DSA Supplicant development package includes a supplicant with full support for
personal
and enterprise WPA2 and WPA security, as well as static and dynamic WEP (64, 128, and 152 bit).
The DSA Supplicant is the IEEE 802.1X/WPA component used in wireless client stations. It is a
daemon-like program that runs in the background and acts as the backend component controlling the wireless connection.
It implements key negotiation with a WPA Authenticator and it controls roaming and IEEE 802.11
authentication/association of the wireless LAN (WLAN) driver.
The DSA Supplicant product package provides source code, interfaces, a Developer Guide,
and API documentation that explain how the supplicant is implemented and how to modify it. The documentation
guides you through how to add support for a new driver, port to a different operating system, or build a UI
that interacts with the wireless client configuration and management interfaces.
For release notes and key issues, see the Online Support site.
Note: DSA Supplicant was originally called SWC. |
