About This Document

This guide describes setup, configuration, administration and maintenance of one or more Devicescape Enterprise-Managed APs on a wireless network.

Administrator Audience

This information is intended for the person responsible for installing, configuring, monitoring, and maintaining the Devicescape Enterprise-Managed AP for home use or as part of a small-to-medium business information technology (IT) infrastructure.

Online Help Features, Supported Browsers, and Limitations

Online Help for the Devicescape Enterprise-Managed AP Administration Web pages provides information about all fields and features available on the user interface. The information in the Online Help is a subset of the information available in the full Administrator Guide.

Online Help information corresponds to each tab on the Devicescape Enterprise-Managed AP Administration user interface. Click the Help button on a tab or the "More . . ." link at the bottom of the inline help panel on the UI for help information for the settings on the current tab.

Note
This Online Help is an example of how the Help on the Administration UI for the productized AP might look. As shown in the full picture of the Help window above, Devicescape can also provide Next/Previous buttons for navigating sequentially through the Help pages (in the order they are shown in the TOC). Like the Administration UI itself, the Online Help look-and-feel is a customizable feature of the Devicescape Enterprise-Managed AP based on the AP manufacturer's end-product requirements and design preferences. We can also customize the panel help that is built-in to the Administration UI (right side panel.) For more information, see the topic below on Documentation Re-Use Kit for Devicescape Customers and also the Manufactuer's Guide topic on "Rebranding".

Documentation Re-Use Kit for Devicescape Customers

OEMs and ODMs who incorporate Devicescape technologies in their end products can use Devicescape guides and online help as source material for product documentation.

Documentation source files and templates for the Administrators Guide, Glossary, and Online Help are available to all Devicescape customers.

Upon request, we can provide you with the Documentation and Online Help source files, along with a process guide and annotated templates that show how to update the existing content using our formats and re-create HTML and PDF documentation from the updated source.

We can also provide a customized version of the Online Help based on your end-product requirements and rebranding specifications.

We are committed to the success of our customers. We can supply the documentation source files in multiple formats, help with tools recommendations and template re-use, and share our Online Help / Online Docs production and deployment strategies with you.

A complete set of documentation on the Devicescape Enterprise-Managed AP and other Devicescape products is available at http://www.devicescape.com/docs/smap/.
