Detect Neighboring APs

Exploring Neighboring AP Detection

Now that you are familiar with some of the Devicescape Enterprise-Managed AP features related to security, you can proceed with the evaluation with or without security and guest network enabled.

Among the many advanced features offered on this AP is Neighboring AP Detection, also known as "rogue" AP detection because it can be used to identify APs not under your control that may be operating or broadcasting within your environment.

To view information about other access points on the wireless network, click on the Status > Neighboring Access Points tab on the Administration Web pages.

You can use this view to assess your wireless environment and identify any abnormalities that require your attention:
