Windows Expert
As the chief Windows guru at Devicescape, you will be responsible for all the hairy Windows and Windows Mobile code we have to deal with. That includes in depth knowledge of Win32, COM, and .NET. You do not only understand how to write cool consumer facing apps with the IDE more importantly you also know how to dive deep into the system and write system services and deal with various networking and security protocols.
You're the kind of person who is up to date on MSDN articles. You love to innovate and making Devicescape Connect a first class application both for the Windows Desktop and Windows Mobile platforms sounds like a lot of fun.
Requirements
- Incredible coding skills. Your friends and coworkers describe you as an "animal." Your programming ability is way above average, as demonstrated by a continuous string of successful projects.

Software Development Lead
Devicescape Software, Inc. has a full-time opportunity for an energetic, innovative, experienced and ambitious technical leader. If you consider yourself a top candidate in the field of software development for mobile devices on a variety of platforms (Linux, Windows, MacOS and Symbian), you have lead successfully a bunch of smart developers and you have a successful track record of bringing great ideas from concept to completion we would like to meet you.
Devicescape provides highly innovative device software and services which make the use of wireless devices seamless, secure and effortless for end consumers. Devicescape products are targeted at device manufactures and network operators providing substantial value add to their consumers.
Responsibilities
In this position you will lead the development effort and team from concept to completion.
- Define new architectures and designs as most appropriate for each platform
- Perform technical leadership duties, including mentoring others and facilitating presentations with internal/external customers
- Lead effective technical brainstorming sessions
- Deliver technical documentation
- Participate in the software technical review and release process
- Provide accurate estimates for project deliverables
- Work closely with all team members in both local and remote office locations
This exceptional opportunity reports to the Director of Engineering in our San Bruno office.
Skills
- Excellent conceptual design skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Expert programming skills in C, C++ and other languages
- Good knowledge of networking, including layer 2 and 3 protocols
- Excellent Linux programming skills
- Excellent Windows programming skills
- Advanced embedded software architecture and design
- Working knowledge of MacOS, Windows CE, Windows Mobile, Symbian and other device operating systems preferred

Symbian Expert
