New Product: Easy Wi-Fi for AT&T subscribers

Over Thanksgiving the Devicescape team cooked up a new product for US iPhone users: a special version of Easy Wi-Fi exclusively for AT&T subscribers. This version makes it even simpler to use AT&T Wi-Fi in their domestic locations, avoiding all of the juggling with Safari and SMS messages.

Here's what you do:

  1. Get the new application "Easy Wi-Fi for AT&T" from the App Store by clicking this link.
  2. Start the application and enter your 10-digit AT&T telephone number.
  3. Launch the application in an AT&T Wi-Fi hotspot and you'll be logged in automatically.

We hope Easy Wi-Fi for AT&T will be much simpler for ordinary mortals to use, especially if you only ever use AT&T Wi-Fi.

Questions and Tips

What If You Already Have Easy Wi-Fi?

Don't worry, the original, multi-network version of Easy Wi-Fi does this too (and a whole lot more). If you're an AT&T iPhone user you can add the hotspot type "AT&T Wi-Fi (iPhone)" and enter your phone number to get the same functionality. You don't need this new version (although we won't stop you getting it if you want it!)

Does This Work With My iPod Touch or my non-AT&T iPhone?

No, sorry! This is only for AT&T subscribers since AT&T decided to include Wi-Fi with their cellular plans. However, you can get free Wi-Fi with a Starbucks card or if you're an AT&T home broadband user (setup details, and Starbucks info here).

But I Don't Have an iPhone!

We hear your pain. Maybe someone will get you one soon? Until then, download Easy Wi-Fi for your PC, Mac, Nokia or Windows Mobile phone at my.devicescape.com.

Special Offer for our Loyal Members

Great news: we're making Easy Wi-Fi for AT&T free for the next few days! So, if you've been holding out and telling yourself you enjoy using Safari to login, or you found the original version too hard to setup, here's your chance to pick it up for free!
Plus, if you know someone who can use Easy Wi-Fi to make their life easier, feel free to pass along this email.

Best wishes,
The Devicescape Team.
