How do I get a PIN code?

In order to get a PIN code make sure that your device is connected to the Internet. You may have to manually configure a connection to your local Wi-Fi network. Your device may also be able to reach the Internet via a sync cable to your PC or over a cellular connection if it is a dual-mode handset. Bring up the Devicescape application. Select the "Connect" menu command. This should pop-up a message with the PIN code.

Does Devicescape support enterprise Wi-Fi networks (using 802.1X authentication)?

At this time the Devicescape service does not support 802.1X authentication, a type of authentication often used in enterprise networks such as those deployed at universities and large corporations. This is something we are considering for a future release, and we'll notify our members if and when we can make this available.

I created an account but mistyped (or can't remember) the email address I used. How do I remove a device that I registered into this account and register it into a new account?

We'll need to unregister your device for you. Please email our support team with your device's UUID. You can get your device's UUID by opening the Devicescape application on your device, going to the command menu, and selecting About... This will pop-up a window with your device's UUID.

Once we have unregistered your device, the next time you connect it to the Internet it will display the registration message. You can then re-register your device in a new account.

Is Devicescape secure?

Yes, quite secure. All your personal information is maintained in encrypted format on our servers located in secure hosting centers. All communications between your device and our servers is strongly encrypted. And, Devicescape will only connect your device to Wi-Fi hotspots that are verified to be who they say they are - this means you won't accidentally get connected to phony hotspots set-up to steal your passwords and other sensitive information.
