Devicescape can create custom Easy Wi-Fi clients which carry your branding and are "locked" to your desired network footprint. You can then make these clients available through your own channels, work with Devicescape to integrate these into your device partner's products and application stores, or utilize Devicescape's own distribution methods.

Locked Footprints

By default, Easy Wi-Fi allows the end user to select from a very large list of Wi-Fi service providers. Custom clients can be "Locked" to restrict this list to the footprint you need. The network footprint can be arbitrarily complex and changed dynamically as your needs evolve. Some examples of footprint include:

Exclusively your own Wi-Fi network
Your network and your roaming partners
Your network and roaming partners, plus free Wi-Fi
Your network and roaming partners, plus non-commercial account(s) owned by your user
A subset of your aggregate network

Automatic Integration of Free, Commercial Wi-Fi Hotspots

Adding free Wi-Fi is a popular choice, as it can expand the utility and number of access locations perceived to be offered by your service. These free Wi-Fi networks are often commercially operated and provided as a service to customers, guests, and citizens. Under normal circumstances these networks are inconvenient as they are chaotic and contain random, non-standard authentication methods. Devicescape supports a large number of free Wi-Fi networks and is constantly adding new ones to our registry. If required, these free networks can be automatically added to the Easy Wi-Fi footprint in a manner entirely transparent to the end user.

Integration With Your Backend

Custom clients can be enhanced to integrate with your own backend systems. In particular, if you operate a paid Wi-Fi service, you can integrate a variety of subscriber acquisition or "top-up" mechanisms into Easy Wi-Fi. In the example shown above, Devicescape created a custom Easy Wi-Fi iPhone OS client for Trustive and made it available via the Apple App Store. On purchase, the client has a promotional balance of access time. The user sees minutes remaining every time they utilize the client, and can "top-up" their pre-paid account or become a subscriber through integration between the service provider's systems and the Easy Wi-Fi Web APIs.

Available Across a Wide Range of Platforms

Devicescape has available today Easy Wi-Fi clients for the most popular PC and smartphone platforms. PC platforms include Microsoft Windows XP and Vista as well as Mac OS X. For smartphones, Easy Wi-Fi clients are available for Nokia Series 60, Microsoft Windows Mobile and Apple iPhone OS.

Flexible Business Models

Devicescape offers custom clients with a choice of flexible business model, including:

Making custom Easy Wi-Fi clients available on a device manufacturer’s application store at no charge to the Service Provider, with the end user purchasing them from Devicescape;
Making custom Easy Wi-Fi clients available to the Service Provider’s end users at no charge, with the Service Provider purchasing client licenses from Devicescape and distributing these clients to their end users via their own website or a device manufacturer’s application store;
Making custom Easy Wi-Fi clients available that come with a promotional bundle of network access, with end users purchasing them from Devicescape and the Service Provider and Devicescape sharing revenues generated from any "top-up" activities or subscription sign-ups initiated from the client.
