DEVICESCAPE MAKES STRATEGIC ADDITIONS TO MANAGEMENT TEAM

Vice President of Engineering and Vice President of Asia/Pacific
Strengthen Company's Leadership Team and International Presence


BRISBANE, Calif. - January 11, 2006 - Devicescape Software, a leader in wireless software for devices, today announced the expansion of its executive team with the appointment of Simon Wynn as vice president of engineering and Raymond Mak as vice president of Asia/Pacific. With more than 30 years of combined experience, Wynn and Mak will help drive the strategic direction of the company and expand its global footprint.

Wynn joins Devicescape from Centrata, where as vice president of engineering he oversaw all aspects of the company's development operations. Prior to Centrata, Wynn spent six years as vice president of engineering and customer support at BMC Software for the Marimba product line.  Wynn was instrumental in developing the company's groundbreaking, policy-based software distribution technology, and was responsible for engineering, quality assurance and support on a worldwide basis. Wynn also held positions at Oracle in the New Media, Groupware and Application Server divisions, and at Dolby Laboratories, where he helped develop the Dolby Digital sound format.

Mak joins Devicescape as vice president of its Asia/Pacific operations. He joined the company after a four-year tenure at MontaVista Software, where he managed all sales and marketing operations in Asia-Pacific. While at MontaVista, Mak played an important role in building MontaVista's presence in Asia/Pacific and growing its sales revenue tenfold in four years. With more than 19 years of technology sales experience, Mak is a seasoned executive with a proven track record of successfully driving sales and delivering results. Mak also held roles as vice president of Asia/Pacific sales at The Santa Cruz Operations, Inc. and sales director at Apple, effectively growing the companies' presence and sales in the Asia/Pacific region.
