INSTANT802 NETWORKS NAMES JITENDRA KAVATHEKAR AS VICE PRESIDENT OF ENGINEERING


Brisbane, CA, - July 21, 2004/PR Newswire - Instant802 Networks Inc., a leading supplier of 802.11 embedded software solutions, announced today the appointment of Jitendra Kavathekar as Vice President of Engineering, assuming responsibility for all aspects of the company’s engineering activities, including Platform Engineering, Product Engineering, Quality Assurance and Program Management. Jitendra joins Instant802 Networks from PalmOne, Inc.

During his tenure at PalmOne, Jitendra led the Software Core Technology and Software Product Development teams to develop the latest generation of Zire and Tungsten handhelds. Before PalmOne, Jitendra held various executive and senior technical positions creating innovative embedded and mobile solutions with companies such as Pixo Inc. (acquired by Sun Microsystems) and Hewlett-Packard Company.
