DEVICESCAPE EXPANDS REACH IN CHINA

Beijing Microtec Research to Distribute Devicescape's Embedded Technology to OEMs in China

BRISBANE, Calif. - November 10, 2005 - Devicescape Software Inc., a leader in software for wireless devices, and Beijing Microtec Research Tech Co. Ltd. (BMR), a Chinese distributor of embedded software, have entered into an agreement to distribute and support Devicescape's wi-fi software products in China. Through BMR, Devicescape will further extend its worldwide reach, bringing its embedded software to more device manufacturers in China.

Demand for Wi-Fi-enabled devices is steadily growing in China, and manufacturers are working to adequately meet this high demand with a steady stream of complex devices. Devicescape's software helps manufacturers address this challenge by enabling the creation of a broad range of wireless devices that can be easily connected and seamlessly managed on a home or office Wi-Fi network. BMR's role will be to market and distribute Devicescape products in China, including the Universal Wireless Platform, the Wireless Infrastructure Platform, the Wireless Operations Center and the recently announced Secure Wireless Client. BMR will also provide front-line technical support and platform integration for local software developers. The agreement with BMR to distribute Devicescape software strategically positions the company as a top provider of embedded software in the Chinese market.

"Wi-Fi is rapidly gaining popularity in China, and the agreement with BMR enables Devicescape to expand its channel capacity to take advantage of this opportunity," said Raymond Mak, vice president of Devicescape Asia/Pacific. "We believe that China will become a high-growth market for Devicescape in the near future."

BMR joins Devicescape's current distributors in the United States, Switzerland and Japan.
