Devicescape to Join Panel Discussion on Wi-Fi Integration at CCA Global Expo 2014

Panel will examine the need for complementary Wi-Fi for mobile operator networks

SAN BRUNO, Calif., March 20, 2014—Devicescape today announced Chief Technology Officer Simon Wynn will participate in an exclusive panel during the FierceWireless Executive Breakfast at the Competitive Carriers Association Global Expo, March 25-28 in San Antonio. Devicescape will be joined by representatives from leading wireless companies including Sprint, Scratch Wireless, and Cincinnati Bell Wireless for a panel session moderated by FierceWireless Executive Editor Mike Dano titled “Wi-Fi Integration: Is It The Right Time?” on March 26 from 7:45 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. CDT.

The panel topic will revolve around the potential of leveraging unlicensed Wi-Fi networks to supplement capacity on wireless networks. Recent advancements – both on the business and technology side – have made this scenario much more palatable to wireless operators, including those in rural areas. In this session, Devicescape and other speakers will discuss the benefits and challenges of Wi-Fi integration for mobile operators.
