Devicescape To Speak On Proximity Engagement At Digital Hollywood Fall 2017

VP Market Development Owen Geddes invited to join panel session at leading media and entertainment event in Los Angeles

San Francisco, CA., and London, UK, October 2nd, 2017 — Devicescape today announced that VP Market Development Owen Geddes will participate in a panel discussion at Digital Hollywood Fall 2017, the leading entertainment and technology conference in the U.S.

The session, “Mobile First: The Lifestyle Differentiator  — Content, Advertising & Technology”, takes place at 11.30am on day one of the event, October 10th, and will be available to view online as a live webcast.

Chaired by Mike Vorhous, President of Magid Advisors, the panel will explore how the smartphone experience, which is pivotal to the promotion and consumption of film and TV content, can be better leveraged to engage consumers.

At Digital Hollywood, Geddes will share learning from the deployment of the Devicescape Engage proximity marketing solution within the cinema sector, where it has been used to promote film releases and develop a unique, actionable, and in-depth understanding of the cinema-goer experience.

In June this year Devicescape announced a strategic partnership with the UK arm of Universal Pictures, focused on innovation in proximity engagement and data analysis.

The partnership followed a series of successful proximity campaigns for Universal Pictures releases in the UK, including Illumination’s Sing and Despicable Me 3, and Fast and Furious 8.

Devicescape Engage brings unrivalled scale to proximity marketing. It uses Devicescape’s Curated Virtual Network of shared Wi-Fi to establish consumers’ presence at numerous retail, hospitality, leisure, and transport destinations, and trigger the delivery of location-aware, in-venue engagement messages to consumers’ smartphones.

CTR across commercial Engage campaigns in 2017 averages 13%.
