Record & Replay
WOC can paint a highly visual picture of the network state in real time or at any recorded point in the past. Simply drag an on-screen slider through time to watch the network over a period of minutes or days. Everything in the visual display, including assessments of health and performance is time-sensitive. The most common support problems ("it worked yesterday, but not today - why?") can be diagnosed effortlessly.

Network Visualization
The flexible WOC Dashboard enables operators to immediately visualize network
activity at the level of detail that makes most sense for troubleshooting a
given problem. Get a picture of overall network throughput and performance.
Understand how RF channels are allocated and identify areas of interference.
Or, drill down to particular client devices and APs to see detailed configuration
status. See all events in a given period of time, or filter them to focus on
a specific end user or device. When used in conjunction with WOC's record and
replay features, normally hard to identify intermittent problems can be quickly
resolved. |
|
Total System Monitoring
WOC gives operators continuous status about their wireless network. The system auto-discovers and monitors APs, switches, connectivity and client devices. System events are logged; and load, throughput and other performance metrics can be tracked. Email alerts can be generated in response to operator-defined network and user events. |

Firmware Management
Wireless Operations Center allows support staff to monitor firmware images for consistent versions, drivers and path levels across the network. And, with selected brands of devices, WOC can push incremental or full firmware updates out to APs in a coordinated fashion.
Enhanced Network Security
Because it records reams of data about user activity on the network, WOC helps network administrators detect unauthorized users attempting to access the WLAN. In addition, when paired with APs having scanning capability WOC can uncover rogue and interfering APs. |
Designed to Scale
WOC is implemented as a highly portable Java-based client-server application. The server-side Repository discovers all network elements and stations, continuously monitors their status and activity, and records everything it learns in a database. The client-side Dashboards pull data from the Repository and present it to operations staff on their desktop PCs. The WOC Repository can scale to thousands of network elements, and support and unlimited number of simultaneous Dashboards across multiple locations. This makes WOC an ideal solution for outsourced or remote IT services and managed service delivery in enterprises, commercial hotspot networks, and for Wireless ISPs. |
